Bitcoin 7 day performance

MicroStrategy Bought An Additional 51,780 Bitcoin!

Michael Saylor and MicroStrategy’s latest acquisition of 51,780 BTC is one of the largest ever!

With this purchase, the company has achieved a Bitcoin yield of 20% quarter-to-date (QTD) and an impressive 41% year-to-date (YTD).

The company revealed it now holds a staggering 331,200 BTC!

MicroStrategy isn’t just a Bitcoin powerhouse—it’s shaking up the $300 trillion fixed-income market with its innovative convertible bonds.

Here’s the kicker:

While most fixed-income players can’t directly buy Bitcoin or even MicroStrategy stock, they can buy MicroStrategy bonds.

And these bonds offer a game-changing mix of features:

  • Lower risk compared to direct Bitcoin investments

  • Downside protection for cautious investors

  • Upside potential linked to Bitcoin’s explosive growth

Oversubscribed Every Time

MicroStrategy’s bond issues are so hot they’re oversubscribed every single time.

Their most recent offering? 0% convertible unsecured senior notes.

But here’s where it gets wild:

Rumours are swirling that their next issuance might come with a negative interest rate.

That’s right—investors could end up paying MicroStrategy for the privilege of holding their bonds.

Last week, Michael Saylor gave a 60 minute keynote at Cantor Fitzgerald

We recommend watching the entire talk- or our summary — it’s brilliant forward-thinking strategy.

The centrepiece of his speech? Saylor’s bold forecast for Bitcoin’s trajectory by 2045.

He kicked things off by breaking down how global wealth is allocated today:

Global Wealth Today

See that tiny orange square tucked in the corner?

That’s Bitcoin. Currently valued at $1.8 trillion.

Now fast forward to 2045, according to Saylor’s vision:

Michael Saylor’s Forecast Total Global Asset 2045

He predicts Bitcoin will claim a much larger piece of the pie, soaring to a staggering $280 trillion in value.

That projection puts the price of one Bitcoin at an eye-popping $13.33 million. đŸ€Ż

Some argue that such a leap would bring the entire financial system to its knees.

But Saylor begs to differ:

“A lot of people think the world will turn on its head, but it won’t. In 21 years, the world will look remarkably similar to how it does today
The only difference is, if you didn’t buy Bitcoin, you’ll have missed out on creating that wealth.”

Michael Saylor

He wrapped up his keynote by spotlighting the seismic impact Bitcoin has had on his company, MicroStrategy:

Many assume NVIDIA has been the top-performing stock in the U.S. in recent years.

Surprise—it’s not even close to MicroStrategy. đŸ•Żïž

The takeaway?

Don’t underestimate Michael Saylor.
Don’t underestimate Bitcoin. 🏆

Rumble CEO Teases Bitcoin Adoption

The buzz around corporate Bitcoin adoption is heating up, and Chris Pavlovski, CEO of Rumble (RUM), has added serious fuel to the fire with a single tweet.

“Should Rumble add Bitcoin to its balance sheet?”

What might have been written off as casual musing quickly became a talking point when none other than Michael Saylor, the Executive Chairman of MicroStrategy and a trailblazer in corporate Bitcoin adoption, entered the chat.

The intrigue only grew when Pavlovski took it one step further.

He posted a poll on X, directly asking his audience whether Rumble should take the leap.

The results so far? An overwhelming 94% of respondents have voted “Yes,” signalling massive support for the idea within the Rumble community.

Shanghai Court Confirms: Crypto Ownership Legal in China

In a landmark opinion, a Shanghai court has confirmed that owning cryptocurrencies like Bitcoin is legal under Chinese law—though restrictions on business crypto activities remain firmly in place.

What You Need to Know:

  • Cryptocurrencies are classified as virtual commodities with property-like attributes, meaning individuals can legally hold them as personal assets.

  • Business entities, however, are barred from crypto-related activities, including investments and token offerings, without regulation.

China’s Balancing Act

While Beijing has doubled down on financial stability—banning ICOs, crypto exchanges, and Bitcoin mining—it still recognizes personal ownership rights for cryptocurrencies.

China’s cautious stance is also driven by concerns over capital flight, fearing cryptocurrencies could facilitate the outflow of money beyond its borders, destabilizing its tightly controlled financial system.

Judge Sun emphasized that these measures aim to protect financial systems while allowing citizens the freedom to hold digital assets.

Semler Scientific Continues To Go All-In On Bitcoin

Semler Scientific, a healthcare tech leader fighting chronic diseases, is turning heads with financial updates that are making waves far beyond their industry.

The company just announced a major expansion of its Bitcoin treasury, snapping up 215 BTC and following in MicroStrategy’s footsteps by introducing BTC Yield as a key performance indicator for its Bitcoin strategy.

And they’re not stopping there—Semler also raised $21.5 million through an at-the-market (ATM) equity offering to fuel their forward-thinking plans.

Breaking Down Semler’s Bitcoin Moves

Between November 6 and November 15, 2024, Semler acquired 215 BTC for $17.7 million in cash at an average price of $82,502 per Bitcoin (fees included).

BlackRock’s Bitcoin ETF Options Launch with a Bang

On November 19, BlackRock made waves by launching options trading for its iShares Bitcoin Trust ETF (IBIT) on Nasdaq—and the market responded in a big way.

Within hours, trading volume soared past $446 million, with a staggering 98% of trades being call options, signalling strong bullish sentiment from investors.

Big Bets on Bitcoin’s Next Move

Bloomberg’s senior ETF analyst, Eric Balchunas, highlighted one standout: the December 20 call option. Traders are betting on Bitcoin’s price doubling within a month—a clear reflection of the optimism swirling around Bitcoin’s near-term potential.

Spot Trading Volume Hits $1.6 Billion

Not to be outdone, IBIT ETF’s spot trading volume climbed to an impressive $1.6 billion, reinforcing Bitcoin’s growing foothold in traditional finance.

Japan’s MetaPlanet Inc Buys More Bitcoin!

Known for its forward-thinking investment strategies, MetaPlanet just made another power move by acquiring 124.117 Bitcoin at an average price of 14,099,600 yen per Bitcoin.

Dylan LeClair, Head of Bitcoin Strategy at MetaPlanet

Revolutionizing Metrics with BTC Yield

MetaPlanet isn’t just stacking sats—they’re innovating how corporate performance is measured. Enter their Bitcoin Yield (BTC Yield) metric, which tracks the percentage change in Bitcoin holdings relative to fully diluted shares outstanding.

Here’s the kicker:

Between July 1, 2024, and November 19, 2024, MetaPlanet’s BTC Yield skyrocketed from 41.7% to an eye-popping 186.9%, proving the success of their accumulation strategy.
